Scotty Cardle

The Story of the Clover

It’s no secret that Scott is a big fan of Glasgow Celtic and has worn the club’s famous four-leaf clover on his shorts throughout his amateur and professional career. However, since Scott turned pro, you may have noticed a newly designed clover logo — this is called the Cardle Clover. The design features four hearts, signifying the close bond between Scott, his Mother Irene, Father Joe and footballing Brother Jojo. The reason for one of the hearts being coloured differently is to portray the significance of his Mother Irene.

On the 5th January 2011, Irene suffered a severe stroke — so severe that the family almost lost her. However, after a lengthy period in hospital and a rehabilitation regime that she continues to this day, Irene has made a remarkable recovery. Although still paralysed, she instils inspiration and strength in all who know her.

This tragedy happened at a very crucial period in Scott’s career. He was in a vital stage of training with Team GB for the Olympic qualifying tournaments, and both brothers were devastated, speaking of taking a break from their respective careers to help their Father care for their Mum. Joe, however, sat them down and explained that he was going to give up his own career to look after Irene, and that the most positive thing both brothers could do was to continue their careers and give her the kind of good news that would help her thrive and stay strong.

Thankfully, that is exactly what happened. Irene continues to defy the neurologists by keeping up her daily routines in the gym and in neurophysio.

Ask Scott who his hero is, or who has given him the inspiration to succeed, and he’ll always answer in a heartbeat: “My Mum.” That strength and resilience is what carries him — and his family — to where they deserve to be.

From the Ring to the Blockchain

Every fighter eventually has to answer the same question: what’s next? For Scott, the answer came from an unexpected direction.

What started as a quiet hobby between training camps — reading about Bitcoin, tracking charts late at night, learning how the technology actually worked — quickly turned into a genuine obsession. Crypto suited him. The volatility, the discipline required to manage risk, the constant need to read the room and adapt — it all felt strangely familiar to a man who had spent his life reading opponents inside twelve-foot ropes. Boxing had given him something most newcomers to crypto don’t have: an analytical mind, patience under pressure, and the ability to stay calm when everyone else is losing their head.

That same mindset pulled him into the world of crypto casinos, and it didn’t take long for Scott to notice that the UK scene was a wild mix — some platforms genuinely brilliant, others best avoided. Bonuses structured completely differently from site to site. Wagering requirements buried in the small print. Wildly different approaches to provably fair games, withdrawal speeds, licensing, and coin support. There was no single “best” — every platform had its own strengths and its own catch.

So Scott decided to do what he does best: break it down, round by round.

Today he runs his own crypto casino review site, where he personally tests platforms available to UK players, compares bonus terms in plain English, checks payout speeds with real deposits, and calls out the sites worth your time — and the ones that aren’t. No hype, no sugar-coating, just the same honest, analytical approach that took him from a Glasgow gym to a British title.
